Foreign currency exchange rates have significantly decreased in Uzbekistan

The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan has announced the updated official exchange rates for foreign currencies for April 2, 2026. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to this data, the value of our national currency, the sum, is observed to have slightly strengthened against major foreign currencies. In particular, the US dollar exchange rate decreased significantly, falling by 52.11 sum to 12,142.10 sum.
A downward trend was also recorded in the value of other major foreign currencies. The euro exchange rate fell by 51.89 sum, reaching 13,984.32 sum.
The British pound sterling dropped by 48.67 sum to 16,113.43 sum. The Swiss franc became 37.78 sum cheaper, totaling 15,233.24 sum.
A similar situation is being observed with currencies in the Asian region. The Chinese yuan fell by 1.65 sum to 1,765.33 sum.
The Japanese yen decreased by 0.13 sum, settling at 76.38 sum. these rates, set by the Central Bank, serve as the basis for operations carried out at currency exchange offices.
Such changes in the currency market are formed taking into account economic analyses and the situation in external markets. These rates come into effect from April 2 and will remain valid until the next business day.
