Avalanche danger announced in the mountainous regions of Uzbekistan

The Uzbekistan Hydrometeorological Service Agency has issued an emergency warning regarding the risk of avalanches in the mountainous regions of the country from April 4 to April 8 of this year. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The expected precipitation and sharp changes in air temperature in the coming days are increasing the probability of natural phenomena occurring in mountainous areas, particularly at altitudes above 2000 meters above sea level. Regions assessed as having a high risk level include the Kitob and Shahrisabz districts of Kashkadarya region, and the Boysun, Sariosiyo, and Uzun districts of Surkhandarya region.
It is also noted that there is a risk of avalanches in the Samarkand and Urgut districts of Samarkand region, the Bakhmal and Zomin districts of Jizzakh region, and the Bostanlyk, Parkent, and Akhangaran districts of Tashkent region, particularly around the Chatkal mountain range, as well as in the Pap district of Namangan region. Specialists urge residents living in mountainous areas, citizens visiting these locations for recreational purposes, and drivers traveling along these routes to be extremely vigilant and cautious.
During times of adverse weather conditions, it is recommended to strictly observe safety rules, avoid approaching mountain slopes, refrain from taking unnecessary risks, and pay serious attention to all official warnings. Remember, it is always more important to take preventative measures and safety precautions than to battle against the vagaries of nature.
Follow the established rules to ensure the safety of yourself and your loved ones.
