Heavy rain and floods are expected in the regions of Uzbekistan

The Uzhydromet Center has issued an emergency warning regarding heavy rainfall expected across the country's regions from April 2 to April 6 of this year. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to expert analysis, the expected rains may cause a risk of flash floods and water inundation in the foothill and mountainous regions of our country. For this reason, the public is requested to be extremely cautious and strictly follow safety rules.
The risk of natural disasters is estimated to be high in the Yakkabag, Dehkanabad, Chirakchi, Kitab, Shahrisabz, Kamashi, and Guzar districts of the Kashkadarya region, as well as the Sariosiyo, Uzun, Altinsay, Denau, Baysun, Sherabad, Shurchi, Kumkurgan, and Muzrabad districts of the Surkhandarya region. Residents of the Urgut, Samarkand, Bulungur, Nurabad, Kushrabat, Kattakurgan, Payaryk, Jambay, and Ishtikhan districts of the Samarkand region are also urged to be vigilant.
There is also a possibility of floods in the Khatyrchi, Navbahor, Nurata, Kanimekh, and Karmana districts of the Navoi region, as well as the Jizzakh, Bakhmal, Gallaaral, Sharof Rashidov, Farish, and Yangiabad districts of the Jizzakh region. It is necessary to take safety measures in the Angren, Bostanlyk, Parkent, Piskent, Urta Chirchik, and Yukori Chirchik districts of the Tashkent region, as well as the cities of Angren and Olmaliq.
Furthermore, the consequences of heavy precipitation may be observed in all districts located in the foothill areas of the Namangan, Fergana, and Andijan regions. Citizens residing in these areas, vacationers in mountainous regions, and drivers traveling on mountain roads are advised to take all necessary measures to ensure their safety and to avoid traveling to dangerous areas whenever possible.
