Speaker of the Iranian Parliament announced the impossibility of making peace with the US

Speaker of the Parliament of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, has stated that it is impossible to conclude a peace treaty with the US. Zamin.uz reported this.
According to him, the main reason for this is Washington's violation of obligations in mutual agreements. Official Tehran has a deep-seated historical mistrust of the United States, and this situation repeats itself every time.
It was noted that three parts of the ten-point proposal accepted as the basis for negotiations have been violated by the US. Firstly, the commitment to an immediate ceasefire and the cessation of military operations in Lebanon was not fulfilled.
Representatives of the international community and regional states, including the Prime Minister of Pakistan, had supported this demand, but in practice, no changes were observed. The second case relates to the violation of Iran’s airspace.
In the Fars province area, an unmanned aerial vehicle belonging to the enemy that illegally crossed Iran's air border was destroyed. This action is considered contrary to the security guarantees specified in the bilateral agreement.
The third issue concerns Iran’s nuclear potential and its right to enrichment. The rights stipulated in the sixth point of the agreement are being violated.
The Iranian side emphasizes that such pressure and violations have been observed since the very beginning of the negotiations. In Ghalibaf's view, under such circumstances, there is no legal or practical basis left for conducting effective dialogue or achieving a stable peace between the parties.
Iran declares that it remains firm in protecting its interests and demands compliance with international agreements.
