Spanish Prime Minister called for ending cooperation with Israel

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez has strongly condemned the policies pursued by the Israeli leadership. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
He has called on the European Union to temporarily suspend cooperation agreements with Israel. In Sánchez's view, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s disregard for international law and the fundamental right to life is unacceptable not only regionally but also on a global scale.
In his statement, Sánchez emphasized that the international community must not turn a blind eye to the ongoing violations. According to him, no state should be able to escape consequences while disregarding international law.
The head of the Spanish government expressed confidence that such decisive measures are a necessary step toward establishing justice and maintaining peace. Political analysts suggest that this initiative by the Spanish Prime Minister could trigger serious discussions within the European Union regarding a review of diplomatic and economic relations with Israel.
Although not all EU member states share the same position on this issue, Sánchez’s statement has brought the matter to the center of the agenda. It is now expected that European Union leaders will proceed to re-evaluate the terms of cooperation with Israel and develop a unified approach to the situation.
This process is set to influence the diplomatic balance on the international stage.
