Severe flooding in Turkey has claimed two lives

The heavy rains that occurred in Turkey's Osmaniye province on April 8th led to a flash flood that caused severe consequences. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to local news sources, two people who were inside a vehicle died as a result of the natural disaster. The phenomenon caused serious damage, particularly in the Bulbul Valley area of the Kadirli district.
As a result of the heavy rainfall, the river overflowed its banks, submerging nearby neighborhoods. The force of the flood was so powerful that it swept away cars parked on the side of the road, while others were completely submerged.
Unfortunately, it was impossible to save the two people in one of the vehicles before rescue teams arrived at the scene. Provincial Governor Mahmut Fatih Serdengeçti arrived at the scene immediately, took direct control of the situation, and inspected the damaged areas.
According to the Governor, it has been confirmed that two citizens died in the parking lot area near the health department and the teachers' guesthouse. At present, all relevant services have been mobilized to eliminate the consequences of the flash flood.
Five hundred and fifty personnel and over one hundred and fifty pieces of special equipment have been involved in the rescue efforts. Specialists are taking measures to first ensure the safety of the population and then minimize material damage as much as possible.
Officials stated that surveillance in the region will be stepped up until the situation is fully stabilized. At the moment, residents are advised to strictly follow safety rules and take precautionary measures.
Cleanup and restoration work is ongoing in the disaster area. State agencies are making every effort to provide necessary assistance to those affected.
Citizens are urged to rely on official information and stay away from dangerous areas.
