BYD Company has introduced the new generation Yuan Plus electric crossover
BYD has officially launched the third generation of its popular Yuan Plus electric crossover, Zamin.uz reports.
While the exterior design remains largely unchanged, the vehicle has been built on an entirely new technological platform, significantly enhancing its power and technical capabilities.
The new model is priced between 120,000 and 150,000 yuan in the Chinese market, which translates to approximately $16,500 to $21,000 in international currency.
The most significant update is the crossover’s transition to the rear-wheel-drive e-Platform 3.0 Evo.
Depending on the trim level, the vehicle is now equipped with electric motors delivering either 278 or 326 horsepower. For intelligent torque distribution, the iTAC 2.0 system has been implemented.
The car is fitted with second-generation Blade lithium-iron-phosphate batteries, which allow a driving range of 540 to 630 kilometers on a single charge.
The new model features ultra-fast charging technology: the battery can be charged from 10% to 97% in just nine minutes.
Additionally, the batteries offer a high level of safety and resistance to thermal runaway.
The running gear has also been thoroughly upgraded, with a modern system that adjusts shock absorber stiffness in real time based on road conditions.
The crossover’s dimensions have slightly increased, providing a more spacious and comfortable interior.
The main trunk offers a volume of 750 liters, and there is additional storage space in the front of the vehicle.
The cabin has received a completely new finish, featuring a large multimedia screen, a head-up display, a convenient steering wheel, and a powerful wireless charging system.
For passenger comfort, a dedicated cooling compartment and a high-quality multi-channel audio system have been installed.
The top-tier trim includes a driver assistance system equipped with special sensors and lidar, enabling autopilot mode on city streets and highways.
The system is also capable of fully autonomous parking.
These updates position the BYD Yuan Plus as one of the most modern and competitive electric crossovers in its class.
