Today, on May 26, BYD company will begin official sales of the Hiace 06 DM-i, a mid-size crossover from its 2026 model lineup, Zamin.uz reports.
According to manufacturer representatives, this new model has been significantly improved in several key areas, including electric-only driving range, intelligent control systems, exterior design, and interior comfort, as reported by international information sources.
The vehicle's full technical specifications and final pricing will be announced in detail somewhat later. However, initial batches of the new model have already begun delivery to dealership centers nationwide.
Among the key technological innovations is the installation of a lidar sensor and the DiPilot 300 advanced autopilot system, which together elevate the vehicle's autonomous driving capabilities to a new level.
The crossover's interior has been designed to provide high-level comfort for both passengers and the driver. Specifically, the car features seats with heating and ventilation functions, a dedicated footrest for the front passenger, and an air freshening system to enhance cabin atmosphere.
Such amenities are particularly helpful in ensuring passenger comfort during long-distance travel. The Hiace 06 DM-i model is built on a front-wheel-drive platform and is equipped with a fifth-generation hybrid powertrain.
This system combines a 1.5-liter gasoline engine producing 101 horsepower with an electric motor delivering 218 horsepower. Specialists note that the vehicle can travel up to 300 kilometers on electric power alone, and over 1,800 kilometers in hybrid mode, which has been separately acknowledged as a notable achievement.
