The new sequel to the Super Mario cartoon has been announced

Illumination and Nintendo companies have presented the sequel to the popular "The Super Mario Bros. Movie" cartoon. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

The new project has been announced under the name "The Super Mario Galaxy Movie." This was reported by Deadline.

The main characters in the cartoon will again be voiced by Chris Pratt (Mario), Anya Taylor-Joy (Princess Peach), Charlie Day (Luigi), Jack Black (Bowser), Keegan-Michael Key (Toad), and Kevin Michael Richardson (Kamek). Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic have been chosen as the directors of the project.

The screenplay is being written by Matt Fogel. The original cartoon showed the adventures of plumber brothers Mario and Luigi in a fairy tale world.

In the new sequel, the heroes face new challenges in space. The film's premiere will take place on April 3, 2026.

It is worth noting that "The Super Mario Bros. Movie" was one of last year's most successful projects, earning 1.3 billion dollars. This result once again confirms its place in the film industry.

The new film is being eagerly awaited by fans.
