Netflix plans to release the fourth season of the popular series “The Witcher” in October this year. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Filming was completed a year ago, and post-production processes are currently underway. In the new season, the main character Geralt will be played for the first time by Liam Hemsworth.
The series consists of 8 episodes in total, all of which will be released to viewers on the same day. This approach was also used by Netflix in the previous third season and continues in projects like “Stranger Things” and “Wednesday.”
Additionally, the spin-off film titled “The Rats: Witcher’s Tale” is expected to be released by the end of this year, although the exact release date is not yet known. The change of actor has sparked widespread discussion among fans.
Henry Cavill, who played the main character for three seasons, left the project. The reasons include commitments to other projects and creative disagreements regarding the interpretation of the character.
While Cavill wanted to remain loyal to the work, the scriptwriters aimed to create stories in a new direction. Thus, the new season of “The Witcher” series is generating great interest among fans.
