Hollywood actor Will Smith has signed a multi-film deal with Paramount Studios through his entertainment company Westbrook. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The news was reported by Variety. The founders of Westbrook, Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, emphasized that the company's main goal is to create international films aimed at a wide audience.
At the same time, it is said that these projects may later turn into franchises. Currently, the company is working on two films.
The first is a film called “Sugar Pirates,” which is being made based on the book “Demons in Exile” by writer Chuck Hogan. In this film, Will Smith plays the role of a former special forces soldier and leader of an elite group fighting against drug trafficking in Boston.
The second project is “Rabbit Hole,” which is being prepared by Jon Spaihts, who wrote the screenplay for Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune” films. Starting with these films, Westbrook plans to carry out all future projects at Paramount’s Hollywood studios.
Westbrook was established in 2019, and its biggest success is the film “King Richard.” Will Smith, who played the lead role in this film, won the “Oscar” award in 2022.
The new partnership with Paramount will serve to further expand the actor’s activities in the film industry.
