Muhriddin Xoliqov was born on September 5, 1959, in the city of Namangan into a family of artists. From childhood, he was interested in music and singing, and he also performed well on the accordion and rubab instruments.
His father always reminded him to serve the path of art. He first appeared on the big stage with the song "Parizod."
He paid great attention to making each song unique and different. He spent most of his day writing songs, and in his free time, he played football to overcome fatigue.
Muhriddin Xoliqov was a disciple of Sherali Jo‘rayev and is also considered a mentor to artists such as Ozodbek Nazarbekov, Abdulla Qurbonov, and Anvar Sanayev. He sang many famous songs including "Laylim," "Go‘zalim," "Besh kunlik dunyo," "Boqma," "Nozanin," and "Qizg‘aldog‘im."
During his career, he presented nearly twenty concert programs, the last of which took place in 2000. Unfortunately, Muhriddin Xoliqov passed away on November 21, 2001.
His work left an indelible mark on Uzbek pop music.
