Disney is preparing the sixth film of the popular "Ice Age" animated series. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The new animated film titled "Ice Age: The Meltdown" will be released on February 5, 2027. This project is the first full-length film after the fifth part released in 2016, and the events take place during the Ice Age 20,000 years ago.
Viewers will have the opportunity to meet new characters along with their favorite heroes. Disney announced the franchise's development in 2022, but the film production process has only recently begun.
The film is now being developed by Walt Disney Animation Studios, as the responsibility was transferred to Disney after "Blue Sky Studios" closed in 2021. Significant changes in visual style and environment are expected in the new film.
The teaser does not clearly reveal plot details, but judging by the title, major changes in the storyline are likely. The "Ice Age" animated project is considered one of the most successful projects in history.
The previous parts have generated over 3 billion dollars in total revenue. Fans express in the comments that they miss the main characters Sid, Manny, Diego, and the funny squirrel.
At the same time, it has been confirmed that Ray Romano (Manny), John Leguizamo (Sid), Queen Latifah (Ellie), Denis Leary (Diego), and Simon Pegg (Buck) will reprise their acting roles. The new film is eagerly awaited by fans.
