
“Soyuzmultfilm” film studio, in collaboration with Dikidigital company, is preparing a full-length anime film based on Anton Chekhov's famous work “The Cherry Orchard.” This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The studio's chief producer Yuliya Osetinskaya informed the “Interfax” news agency about this. According to her, almost 130 years after the play was first performed on the stage of the Alexandrinsky Theatre, the great Russian drama is being revived in a new format.
The creators aim to preserve the content and integrity of Chekhov's work while presenting it in a form suitable for modern young audiences. Currently, the film production process is ongoing.
