Telegram founder Pavel Durov revealed for the first time that there were attempts to attack him through poisoning in 2018. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
He spoke about this during a conversation with American blogger Lex Fridman. Durov emphasized that he had never told anyone about this incident before because he did not want to disturb people.
According to him, the incident occurred in the spring of 2018. At that time, the Telegram team was engaged in fundraising for the TON cryptocurrency, while some countries were trying to restrict the messenger.
Durov said that he felt very unwell at that time, even feeling as if he was dying. When he returned home, he noticed that a "strange neighbor" had left something at his door, and then he experienced pain, as well as a decrease in his vision and hearing abilities.
He developed severe pain in his heart, stomach, and blood vessels, and breathing became difficult. At one point, he reviewed his life in his mind, then collapsed and could not remember the subsequent events.
The next day, he woke up on the floor, with damaged blood vessels in his body and lost the ability to walk. He remained weak for two weeks and did not talk much about it with his team.
When Fridman asked if the event scared him, Durov said, on the contrary, it made him enjoy life even more and accept each day as a gift. He did not disclose the details of what the "strange neighbor" had left.
