Famous artists arrested in Turkey
A major event has occurred in the Turkish show business. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

Well-known artists and actors in the country have been arrested on charges related to promoting drugs and smuggling. This was reported by Halk TV on October 8.

Special investigation actions were carried out by the Istanbul Chief Prosecutor's Office against several famous figures active in the show business. It became known that artists such as Hadise, Dilan and Engin Polat, Simge Sagin, Demet Evgar, and Kubilay Aka participated in this operation.

The list of those arrested is quite extensive and includes individuals such as Birse Akalay, Birsen Berrak Tuzunatach, Jeren Moray Orjan, Deren Tal-u, Duygu Ozaslon Mutaf, Feyza Altun, Irem Deriji, Kaan Yildirim, Mert Yazidjioglu, Metin Akdyulger, Ozge Ozpirinchi, Zaynab Merich Aral Keskin, and Ziynet Sali. They are currently being interrogated at the gendarmerie headquarters of Istanbul province and undergoing blood tests.

Singer Irem Deriji's lawyer, Oyshagul Mermer, told journalists that no official information about the case details has been provided yet. She stated that once all information is formalized, clear information will be presented to the public.

Ziynet Sali's lawyer said that his client is currently abroad and could not participate in the interrogation. He emphasized that she will give her testimony upon return.

Additionally, Ziynet Sali has stated that she has never smoked cigarettes and has no connection to any criminal group. Furthermore, according to the Sözcü publication, the lawyer of the mentioned singer Simge Sagin, who is among those arrested, also made a statement.

According to him, Simge Sagin has been in the USA for a week and is currently not in Turkey. Earlier this year in February, Turkish pop star Serdar Ortach was sentenced by the court to 10 months in prison and fined 400 lira for promoting illegal gambling.

These events are causing a major stir in the Turkish show business.
