Tom Cruise has been included in the Guinness World Records for one of the dangerous stunts performed during the filming of "Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning." This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The actor made 16 jumps with a pre-lit parachute. This was reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
In one of the film scenes, the character played by Tom Cruise, Ethan Hunt, jumps from a damaged plane with a reserve parachute. His main parachute catches fire, so the character cuts the cords and opens the reserve parachute at the last moment.
This complex stunt was performed live by the actor. Cruise made 16 jumps from a helicopter over the Drakensberg Mountains in South Africa at an altitude of over 2000 meters.
In each jump, his parachute was soaked with a flammable liquid and set on fire. This dangerous and complex act was recorded by the Guinness World Records as the record for "the most jumps with a burning parachute by one person."
Craig Glenday, the editor-in-chief of the Guinness World Records, said: “Tom Cruise seems made for records. He has once again proven himself as an actor with limitless capabilities.”
