Netflix and Sony have signed a contract to create the second part of the animated film "K-Pop and Demon Hunters." This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to Bloomberg, the new film is scheduled to be released to audiences in 2029. The directors of the film will again be Chris Appelhans and Maggie Q.
The main reason for the four-year hiatus is related to the need for a long time to work on animated projects. The first part of the "K-Pop and Demon Hunters" film was released on June 20 and immediately gained international popularity, becoming a hit.
On the Netflix platform, this film has been watched more than 325 million times, becoming one of the streaming service's most popular releases. The film's soundtrack also achieved great success.
The album topped the Billboard 200 chart, and some songs entered the Billboard Hot 100 list. So far, there is no official information on whether the second part will be shown in cinemas or only presented on the streaming platform.
It is worth noting that the first part was shown in a limited release in the United States and earned about 25 million dollars. The new part is also expected to be successful.
