This year, a total of eight films in Russia have surpassed this figure. Among them are "Alice in Wonderland," "Emerald City Wizard: The Yellow Brick Road," "Finist: The First Knight," "The Prophet: A Story About Alexander Pushkin," "Dad-2: Grandpa," "Kraken," "August," and "Gorinich."
Each of these films earned more than 1 billion rubles. The premiere of "Alice in Wonderland" took place on October 23.
The film was directed by Yuri Khmelnitsky, with the screenplay written by Karina Chuvikova. The leading roles were played by well-known actors Anna Peresild, Milos Bikovich, Paulina Andreyeva, Irina Gorbacheva, and Sergey Burunov.
The plot of the film is based on the story of Alice, a schoolgirl from Moscow. After quarreling with her classmates and parents, Alice accidentally falls into the Wonderland.
The inhabitants of this country appear to her as versions of the people around her in fairy tales. The film was inspired by Lewis Carroll's famous work.
