
Per Auguste Renoir's previously unknown painting was sold for 1.8 million euros at the Drouot auction held in Paris. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

The oil painting titled "The Boy and His Toys – Gabriel and the Artist's Son Jean" had never before been exhibited or put up for sale. The painting belonged to Jean's foster mother, Jeanne Bodo.
It is known that Jeanne Bodo was a friend and pupil of Renoir. According to art historian Pascal Perren, this canvas has not yet been restored and has been preserved in good condition.
The artist's son Jean Renoir was born in 1894 and later became a famous director. In 1975, he was awarded an Oscar for "Special Achievements."
One of Jean Renoir's famous films is "The Grand Illusion," which tells the story of two French prisoners of war trying to escape from German captivity during World War I.
