On December 17, 2025, the ceremony for awarding the national film prize "Golden Humo – 2025" was held at the National Palace of Cinema Arts located in Tashkent city. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

This event was one of the significant occasions in the field of national cinematography, attended by renowned artists, directors, actors, and other creatives. During the event, a total of 62 films were presented.

Among them were 25 feature films, 21 documentaries, and 16 animated projects. This indicator clearly demonstrated the development of Uzbek cinema across various genres.

Special attention was given to the best creative works at the awarding ceremony. The film "Curse of the White Gold" was recognized as the best documentary, while "Smart Girl" was named the best animated project.

Technical and creative achievements were also appreciated, with Ulugbek Abdusoatov receiving the award for best sound director for the film "After Spring." Additionally, Azim Botirov was acknowledged for editing work in the film "Sayoq Shamol," graphic solutions in the film "Region," and the art direction and cinematography in the film "Cotton" were recognized.

Acting skills were also honored with awards. Yulduz Rajabova won the best female role nomination for her role in the film "Shamskamar," and Ulugbek Muhammadkarimov won the best male role nomination for his performance in the film "Cho’loq."

The main prize of the evening — the "Best Film" award — went to the picture "Makhtumquli Firog’i." The film’s producer, Muzaffarxon Erkinov, regarded this achievement as the result of the creative team's hard work.

The "Golden Humo – 2025" ceremony once again demonstrated new prospects in the development of Uzbek cinema art and the high potential of its creators. Such recognition encourages the national cinematography to achieve even greater heights in the coming years.
