The new detective series titled “Secret Advisor,” presented by the NTV channel, has attracted viewers' attention since its first days on air. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The series quickly sparked significant discussions and was rated an average of 7.5 on the “Kinopoisk” platform. One of the main advantages of the series is that all 20 episodes were released simultaneously.
The plot centers around Pavel Kostikov, an experienced officer who served in the Moscow anti-crime department. During a dangerous operation to capture a killer nicknamed “The Executioner,” he sustains serious injuries, and his close partner Dmitriy Smirnov dies.
This event leaves a deep mark on Pavel's life. After a long recovery, Kostikov returns to service but is transferred to the information-analysis department, losing the opportunity to work in his previous unit.
The new position does not come easily for him: he faces serious professional and psychological challenges. At the same time, Pavel feels guilty before Polina Smirnova, the widow of his partner Dmitriy.
Polina is a lawyer who takes on the defense of a suspect in a complex murder case and firmly believes in his innocence. Kostikov unofficially begins an investigation and proves that Polina is right.
As a result, the suspect is acquitted, and the real criminal is exposed. Following this event, an informal partnership is established between Pavel and Polina.
Pavel begins to assist Polina as a “secret advisor” in solving complex cases. Their cooperation develops not only professionally but also personally.
The series received high ratings from viewers. It scored 7.6 on “Kinopoisk” and 7.3 on the “Kino-Teatr.RU” website.
