Elon Musk has been recorded as the first person in human history whose wealth has exceeded 700 billion dollars. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This record is mainly related to the sharp rise in Tesla's stock price. It is known that a significant boost to Musk's wealth growth was the decision of the Delaware Supreme Court.
The court reinstated options related to Tesla shares. These options grant the right to purchase shares at a previously lower price and are currently valued at 139 billion dollars.
Previously, Forbes had cautiously calculated these options and reduced their value by 50 percent. However, after the court decision, the approach was reconsidered, resulting in an increase of 69.5 billion dollars in Musk's total wealth.
Currently, his wealth is estimated at around 749 billion dollars. On December 15, Musk was also recorded as the first person in history whose wealth exceeded 600 billion dollars.
This month, his stake in SpaceX reached nearly 336 billion dollars. The company's total valuation is estimated at 800 billion dollars, which is twice the figure from August.
Elon Musk had previously entered history as the first person whose wealth exceeded 500 billion dollars. It is said that his stake in SpaceX is currently somewhat less valuable than his assets in Tesla.
Experts emphasize that the main factor that could make Musk the world's first trillionaire in the future is SpaceX. The company plans to hold an IPO in 2026.
If this happens, SpaceX could be valued at 1.5 trillion dollars. An IPO is the process of offering a company's shares to the public for the first time.
