Macaulay Culkin became world-famous in the early 1990s through "Home Alone" and its sequels. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
However, the actor later decided to completely distance himself from cinema. Now 45 years old, Culkin says that as a child he chose a simple life, spending time with friends and enjoying a free childhood rather than fame.
On the Mythical Kitchen podcast, Culkin emphasized that the filming process during his childhood was not as collaborative as many imagine. He often worked alone and always felt isolated during shooting.
He even jokingly recalled that when rewatching "Home Alone," he felt like he was on a deserted island. After the success of the 1994 film "Richie Rich," Culkin decided to leave Hollywood.
Despite being one of the most famous child actors in the world at that time, he valued a simple life, childhood experiences, and meeting with friends more. "I realized later that I had missed those things," the actor said.
Culkin compares fame to "a process you can't put toothpaste back into the tube." He notes that he never aimed to be famous and entered acting by chance.
At the same time, he spoke about the possibility of returning to the role of Kevin McCallister, saying he might accept the offer if there is a good script. He even imagined that in a potential sequel, an adult Kevin would struggle with fatherhood issues.
Today, Macaulay Culkin focuses his attention on his family. He is raising two sons with actress Brenda Song and prefers to live a calm life away from the cameras.
