Cyberpunk 2077 sequel will not be released until 2030

The sequel to the game Cyberpunk 2077, developed by the CD Projekt RED studio based in Poland, may not be released in the coming years. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Based on the opinion of analysts from Noble Securities on the Strefa Inwestorow portal, it was reported that the new installment will not be presented before 2030. Experts emphasize that the delay in the release date is not without reason.
This time, the developers intend to pay special attention to making the game technically perfect. In particular, the multiplayer mode is planned to be fully developed and naturally integrated into the core game mechanics in the sequel.
At the same time, it is also speculated that the new installment may be presented on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the release of the first game. According to information, the development of Cyberpunk 2077 began in 2012, and the release date was postponed several times.
Although initially planned for release in 2019, the game was presented in November 2020. However, after the release, technical problems, especially errors in the console versions, caused serious criticism and dissatisfaction.
This negative experience prompted the studio to work cautiously on new projects. Additionally, CD Projekt RED has not forgotten its other popular franchise – The Witcher series.
In 2026, a paid story expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is planned to be released. This expansion aims to connect the events of the 2015 game with the new The Witcher 4.
A completely new installment of The Witcher series is expected to be released at the end of 2027. Thus, it is evident that CD Projekt RED has chosen the path of presenting major projects in the coming decade based on thorough planning and a strong focus on quality.
