How is Yulduz Turdiyeva preparing for her first concert?
The melodious voice owner Yulduz Turdiyeva is on the verge of presenting her first solo concert program to her fans after several decades of creativity. A press conference was held for media representatives before the concert, which will be held live, where Yulduz Turdiyeva and Davron Kabulov answered several questions.
About the first concert in many years of creativity
— When I presented my album a year ago, Davron liked one of my songs and said, “Sister, you need to give a concert.” We thought about it for a month. However, it coincided with the quarantine period. At that time, there were many live online concerts on various TV channels. “Four thousand people watched it on ‘Friendship of Peoples,’ while the entire Uzbekistan watched the online concert,” I said, leaving it behind.
In Azerbaijan and France, there are concert programs every year. We have also planned one for May this year. If Davron hadn’t pushed me, saying “Sister, there’s no place, time is short,” it would have been postponed again due to weddings and children, the singer says.
“We are creative partners with Yulduz sister for the next 10 years”
— Over the years, plans to hold Yulduz Turdiyeva’s concert have not materialized for various reasons. There was also a child in between. This year, despite the tight schedule, when a small opportunity arose, we immediately got to work. To answer the question of why two days, the concert business in Uzbekistan is not in good shape. There are cases where tickets are sold in exchange for withholding from people's salaries by many trade unions. I am the primary enemy of this. Rather, a good concert should be given, so that people come to this concert willingly. We both didn’t want there to be a question of “Whose concert was it?”
I consider an 8-10 day concert insufficient in terms of Yulduz Turdiyeva’s talent. We did not agree on just a two-year or a single concert with Yulduz sister, but we are planning a 10-year collaboration. Therefore, extending the concert dates in the coming years will not be a problem. Rosmana Yulduz Turdiyeva’s art enthusiasts can’t be greedy in gathering in one place, says Davron Kabulov.
Could there be a duet with Shabnam Surayyo?
— Whether there will be a duet at the concert is still a secret. However, one more thing, if after the concert it is remembered that, oh, there was no duet today, I don’t think there will be a special need for this during the concert. But I can’t say there won’t be a duet either.
From the first minute to the last moment of the concert, the main character will be Yulduz Turdiyeva herself, and their strength is more than enough for that. There are five more Yulduz inside Yulduz Turdiyeva, and they need to be awakened, says Davron Kabulov.
The creators hinted that Shabnam Surayyo from Tajikistan could be involved.
“I will wear the best outfit from Bukhara”
— I will sing Uzbek songs at the concert. So far, I have mostly sung Bukhara and Persian-Tajik songs. I am paying special attention to my outfits, I am preparing the most beautiful chapan from Bukhara. Besides two designers from Bukhara, we are also working with the famous “Anor atelier.”
I am afraid of many things from nature, even though I grew up in the village, I am afraid of livestock and cats. It is natural to have fear and excitement before the concert, the singer did not hide her feelings.
Explanation about not choosing a special name for the concert

— Naming the program is used as an element that distinguishes one concert from another. This is Yulduz Turdiyeva’s first summary concert. Highlighting a specific song or theme would be incorrect from the perspective of the concert geography. Nevertheless, we are including the best songs as much as possible. This will be presented differently than what the fans are used to hearing.
Yulduz sister keeps saying, “I need a place for this many relatives. I went to such-and-such friend’s concert, I went to this one, they should come to mine too, find a place for them.” I asked if you are holding a concert for your relatives. The biggest problem that troubles them is this (laughs). But in such situations, I think that first of all, these close people should understand, says Davron Kabulov.
“There will be embarrassing situations when using a phonogram”
— I was happy about the government’s decision to gradually restrict the use of phonograms at concert and entertainment events.
Where there is life, there should be live singing. Personally, I am afraid of singing with a phonogram. There are many embarrassing situations in it. I have had such situations at two state events — my voice was amplified from the computer. The titles of “People’s Artist” or “Honored Artist” are not given for nothing. It must be justified. If we are alive, we must sing live, says Yulduz Turdiyeva.
