Gavhar Zokirova advised parents to approach Russian schools with caution

People's Artist of Uzbekistan Gavhar Zokirova addressed parents, drawing attention to the negative consequences of sending their children to Russian schools. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
In her interview, she said: “Many give their children to Russian schools and are happy about it, but one thing should not be forgotten — the child begins to think in Russian.” Gavhar Zokirova recalled her personal experience, emphasizing the difficulty of this process.
She said: “I went through such a situation. It becomes difficult for the child to return to their original state later.
They do not know Uzbek literature well, mainly studying Russian and world literature.” The actress also spoke about the high-level works of Uzbek literature and gave an important reminder to parents.
“I believe our literature is superior to Western literature. If a child does not know this, it is a great loss,” she said.
Therefore, she asked parents to pay attention to the mother tongue, which is the basis of the spoken language and culture. It is important for our children to understand our national values and be able to think in Uzbek for the future.
For this reason, it is necessary to keep in mind the importance of our mother tongue when choosing a school. Raising our children based on our mother tongue and culture is an important factor in preserving their national identity.
Through this, they will not only master their mother tongue perfectly but also deeply understand our national values. Parents should take these into account when choosing a school for their children.
