Media Week opens the door to a new era of journalism
Rapid changes observed in the global information landscape, the growing influence of social networks, and the development of artificial intelligence technologies are today demanding a new mindset and working style from media professionals. Zamin.uz reports on this matter.

Especially, the surge in a flood of fake news far from the truth places significant responsibility on journalists, bloggers, and press secretaries. It is precisely out of this need that Media Week, considered the largest educational and practical project of the year in our country, has launched.

This initiative aims to bring journalists, bloggers, and information service staff together on a single platform and elevate their knowledge and skills to a new level. Implemented by the Content Center and partner organizations, this project is expected to cover nearly 12,500 participants across the entire republic.

Within the framework of the project, five-day intensive training seminars and master classes will be organized in all regions. The most important aspect of the program is the harmonious integration of theory and practice.

During the sessions, participants will not be limited to theoretical knowledge but will have the opportunity to work based on real-life situations, analyze mistakes, and master modern approaches. Leading media experts, editors, and producers from the country will participate in the trainings, delivering practical lessons on topical issues such as content creation, fact-checking, digital hygiene, and strategic communications.

The sessions will be organized separately for various directions including television journalism, print media, blogging activities, and press services of state bodies. Participants who successfully complete the courses will be awarded special certificates.

The first stage of the project will launch in the Republic of Karakalpakstan. Subsequent stages will cover all regions of the country.

A comprehensive media forum is planned to be held at the end of each week in every region. Media Week will be organized across regions on the following dates.

It will take place in the Republic of Karakalpakstan from March 3rd to April 5th, in Khorezm Region from April 6th to April 10th, in Surxondaryo Region from April 13th to April 17th, in Qashqadaryo Region from April 20th to April 24th, in Samarkand Region from April 27th to May 1st, in Navoiy Region from May 4th to May 8th, in Bukhara Region from May 11th to May 15th, in Fergana Region from May 18th to May 22nd, in Namangan Region from May 25th to May 29th, in Andijan Region from June 1st to June 5th, in Jizzakh Region from June 8th to June 12th, in Sirdaryo Region from June 15th to June 19th, and in Tashkent Region and the city of Tashkent from June 22nd to June 16th. Thus, Media Week is expected to become not only a platform for knowledge exchange but also an important platform contributing to the formation of a new generation of specialists in the media field.
