Artists talk about problems related to wedding income and tax burden

Uzbek singer Samandar Khamrakulov shared his opinion on the tax payments introduced for artists on social media. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to him, many artists have been expressing their views on laws or projects issued by the Tax Department. As Samandar Khamrakulov emphasized, they never avoid paying taxes, but the main income of artists mainly comes from wedding events.
Therefore, they produce music videos and incur large expenses, but they can only cover these costs through weddings or sometimes do not cover them and fall into debt. The singer also added that there are artists who have been paying off their debts for two to three years, but they have not yet made a profit because there is no other source of income.
For this reason, the tax issue needs to be thoroughly studied, calculated, and carefully implemented. According to Samandar Khamrakulov, it is important to develop tax policy fairly and logically, taking into account the financial situation of creatives in the art field.
This will not only help artists but also serve to ensure stability in the sector. Thus, the tax system should be formed in a way that adapts to the activities of artists.
