The son of artist Azim Mullaxonov, who served in Uzbekistan, has passed away

The art world of Uzbekistan is facing a heavy loss. Zamin.uz reported on this.
Mourning has struck the household of Azim Mullaxonov, Honored Artist of Uzbekistan and Director of the Muqimiy State Academic Musical Theater of Uzbekistan. The son of the renowned artist, Islombek Mullaxonov, passed away prematurely.
This tragic news was confirmed by the deceased's relatives and the theater team who worked side-by-side with Azim Mullaxonov for many years. Members of the theater and representatives of the cultural sphere are expressing their deepest condolences to the singer and his family members.
In many of his interviews, Azim Mullaxonov spoke with affection about his family and children. In particular, he noted that although his children Azizaxon, Feruzbek, and Islombek had a high interest in art, their life paths were linked to other fields.
The singer stated that he did not want his children to become artists and advised them to choose other professions. He cited the hardships of the artistic path and the social difficulties faced by creators as the reasons.
In one of his interviews given at the time, he explained his decision regarding his children's future as follows. He said that those were materially and spiritually difficult times for artists, and that many people imagined the lives of actors as only glamour and high income.
In reality, he openly explained that many creators, especially theater staff, worked for a modest salary, and that being recognized in markets and shops sometimes came at a price. Due to such real-life reasons, Azim Mullaxonov preferred for his sons and daughter to lead stable lives in other fields.
Today, the entire public is wishing the artist patience during these difficult moments. May the deceased rest in peace.
