Matyoqub Matchonov and Ra’no Yarasheva were awarded the title of People's Artist

Bright representatives of Uzbekistan's cinema and theater arts, creators who have been cherished by our people for many years, have been honored with high state awards. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
In particular, renowned film actor Matyoqub Matchonov and the skilled actress of the Uzbek National Academic Drama Theater, Ra’no Yarasheva, were awarded the honorary title of People's Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan. This decision was reflected in the President's decree aimed at encouraging representatives of the fields of culture, art, and literature.
At the same time, actor Uchqun Tillayev, who holds a significant place in the world of art, and Abdurahmon Xoltojiyev, a skilled musician of the Maqom ensemble, were also honored with this prestigious title. This recognition is the result of the creators' many years of productive work and their immense contributions to the development of our national culture.
Matyoqub Matchonov was born in Tashkent in 1956. His first step into the world of cinema began with the film *Youth of the Genius*, filmed in 1980.
Subsequently, the creator created unique characters in many films such as *The Guy the Bazaar Hadn't Seen*, *Curse My Tongue*, *My Brother is a Bachelor*, and *The Traitor*, earning a deep place in the hearts of viewers. The actor had previously been awarded the title of Honored Artist of Uzbekistan and the Order of Friendship.
Ra’no Yarasheva was born in the Samarkand region in 1961. Although her career in art began as a makeup artist in the theater, she rose to the level of a skilled actress thanks to her determination and talent.
She has skillfully embodied women of various characters in historical and modern works such as *Scorpion from the Mihrab*, *Sohibqiron*, and *Uvaysiy*. To date, the actress has performed lead roles in more than twenty films and plays, managing to establish her own worthy school of acting.
These awards are another vivid example of the high respect shown to the art community in our country.
