Taylor Swift spent $160,000 on her New York wedding

According to Zamin.uz, the cost of the marriage license for pop star Taylor Swift and American football star Travis Kelce’s wedding in New York City exceeded $160,000.
City officials stated that the amount was spent on temporarily closing streets, providing additional police services, and ensuring general public safety during the event. New York City representative Zohran Mamdani said the license was issued just a few days before the wedding celebrations began.
In response to questions about overtime pay for police officers, Mamdani emphasized that all expenses were covered directly by Taylor Swift, not from the city treasury, meaning no extra burden was placed on the city budget and all resources used for the private event were fully reimbursed.
The ceremony reportedly took place at the famous Madison Square Garden complex in New York. Due to the large-scale nature of the event, traffic was restricted on some central roads around the venue, security measures were significantly increased, and special arrangements were made to ensure guests could move comfortably.
According to media reports, the wedding was held in a private format, attended only by close family and world-famous celebrities. Preliminary estimates suggest the total cost of the lavish celebration amounts to several tens of millions of dollars.
New York authorities confirmed that all city resources used for the event were funded by private money, and no financial harm was caused to the public. Thus, the celebrity couple’s wedding stands out not only for its luxury but also for the significant organizational expenses involved, drawing public attention.
