An international award is established on the occasion of the 1050th anniversary of the birth of Abu Ali ibn Sino in Uzbekistan

The "Ibn Sino" international award is planned to be established in Uzbekistan on the occasion of the 1050th anniversary of the birth of the great scholar Abu Ali ibn Sino. One.uz reports this.
This decision was formalized in the Cabinet of Ministers' Resolution No. 575, adopted on October 19. The resolution approved a detailed action plan — "roadmap" — for preparing and organizing the anniversary scheduled for 2030.
Scientific-critical research and publications As part of the plan, an international scientific conference on "Ibn Sino — a great representative of Western and Eastern philosophical thought" will be held in Tashkent in October 2026. Scientific-practical conferences, exhibitions, and public lectures will be organized in higher medical education institutions, research centers, libraries, and treatment and prevention facilities.
Scientific expeditions to foreign countries will be organized, and Ibn Sino's manuscripts kept abroad will be collected. The scholar's great works such as "Mo'jaz al-Qonun," "Al-Qanun," "Al-Ishorat wa at-tanbihat," "Donishnoma," "Kitab ash-Shifo," and "Eastern Philosophy" are being translated into Uzbek, and their print and electronic editions are being prepared.
New scientific research center The document approved the proposal to establish the Abu Ali ibn Sino Research Center as a state institution under the Bukhara State Medical Institute. The center will focus on deeply studying the scholar's medical heritage, applying research results in modern medical practice, forming a collection of works and manuscripts, and translating them into Uzbek.
Creating a unified electronic platform for manuscripts, organizing training courses and masterclasses for medical professionals and history enthusiasts are also among the center's main tasks. The center's activities will be funded by the institute's extra-budgetary funds, grants from international financial institutions, income from paid services, sponsorship donations, and other sources not prohibited by legislation.
