The latest currency exchange rates effective from August 20, 2025, reveal notable movements across major currencies against the Uzbek som.

Today, the US dollar opened at 12,497.19 UZS, experiencing a decline of 50.19 UZS. However, it is expected to rebound tomorrow, gaining 27.73 UZS to reach 12,524.92 UZS.

The euro also saw a drop today, falling by 67.41 UZS to 14,597.97 UZS. Forecasts indicate a positive turn with an increase of 32.39 UZS tomorrow, pushing it up to 14,630.36 UZS.

The Russian ruble weakened by 1.31 UZS today, settling at 155.71 UZS, but is projected to rise slightly by 0.25 UZS to 155.96 UZS tomorrow.

The British pound dropped sharply today by 89.28 UZS to 16,921.20 UZS. A modest recovery is anticipated with a 9.99 UZS increase, bringing it to 16,931.19 UZS tomorrow.

The Japanese yen declined marginally by 0.64 UZS to 84.78 UZS today and is expected to dip slightly again by 0.02 UZS to 84.76 UZS tomorrow.

The Swiss franc fell significantly today by 96.89 UZS to 15,478.31 UZS but is forecasted to climb by 65.15 UZS, reaching 15,543.46 UZS tomorrow.

Lastly, the Chinese yuan decreased by 6.85 UZS to 1,740.99 UZS today, with a modest rise of 3.31 UZS predicted for tomorrow, moving to 1,744.30 UZS.

Overall, while today’s session showed a widespread decline across currencies, tomorrow promises a partial recovery for most, signaling cautious optimism in the market.
