The latest exchange rates effective from August 24, 2025, reveal a consistent downward trend across major currencies against the local som.

The US Dollar (USD) opened at 12,413.79 soms, dropping by 52.65 soms. Similarly, the Euro (EUR) declined by 48.90 soms to 14,468.27 soms. The Russian Ruble (RUB) fell slightly by 0.56 soms, settling at 154.86 soms.

The British Pound (GBP) saw a notable decrease of 102.12 soms, trading at 16,728.82 soms. The Japanese Yen (JPY) edged down by 0.47 soms to 84.06 soms. The Swiss Franc (CHF) also dipped by 28.94 soms, reaching 15,413.20 soms. Lastly, the Chinese Yuan (CNY) dropped by 7.53 soms, closing at 1,729.42 soms.

Looking ahead, the forecast for August 25 indicates these currencies will continue their decline at similar rates. Market participants should prepare for ongoing depreciation in foreign exchange values against the som in the near term.
