Uzbekistan's flour imports decreased by 10% in 2025

According to data from the National Statistics Committee, in 2025 Uzbekistan imported a total of 422.6 thousand tons of wheat flour from 8 foreign countries. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The total value of this import amounted to 124.6 million US dollars. It is noted that the import volume in 2025 decreased by 48.3 thousand tons or 10.3 percent compared to 2024.
This indicates a reduction in external purchases in the country's flour market. In 2025, the largest quantity of wheat flour imported to Uzbekistan came from Kazakhstan, totaling 399.8 thousand tons.
Additionally, 22.1 thousand tons of flour were imported from Russia. The volume of wheat flour imported from other countries was significantly lower.
Specifically, 425 tons were imported from Tajikistan, 90 tons from the USA, and 50 tons from Kyrgyzstan. The remaining 71.3 tons of flour came from other countries.
These data provide a clear picture of the main sources and volumes of the country's flour imports. At the same time, the decrease in import volume may be related to growth in domestic production or changes in external purchasing strategies.
