Andijan became a leader in clothing manufacturing

Andijan region took the leading position in 2025 in the field of clothing production, one of Uzbekistan's major industrial sectors. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics, last year large enterprises across the country produced clothing products worth a total of 43.1 trillion soums. This figure increased by 21.7 percent compared to 2024.
In this sector, Andijan region holds the largest share, producing products worth 19.7 trillion soums. The production volume by regions is distributed as follows: Namangan region — 3.9 trillion soums, Tashkent region — 3.6 trillion soums, Tashkent city — 2.9 trillion soums, Fergana region — 2.8 trillion soums, Navoi region — 2.1 trillion soums, Kashkadarya and Bukhara regions — 1.8 trillion soums each.
In the remaining regions, the production volume was less than 1 trillion soums. Andijan region's share in this sector accounts for nearly 46 percent of the total national figure.
This clearly demonstrates the region's strong capabilities in tailoring and light industry, as well as its high labor force and production capacities.
