President Mirziyoyev reviewed a new industrial project in Surxondaryo
During his visit to Surxondaryo region, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev familiarized himself with the basalt product manufacturing line at the “Surkhon Sandwich” enterprise in Termiz district. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

This sector holds significant importance in the construction field, as large-scale construction works are ongoing across the country and there is increasing demand for energy efficiency in major facilities. Therefore, the need for basalt raw materials and energy-efficient plates as well as modern construction materials made from them is growing.

The enterprise established to meet this demand is considered a major project worth 26 million dollars. Within the project framework, a processing capacity of 30 thousand tons of basalt raw materials per year has been created, demonstrating its importance for industry and the market.

This capacity allows the enterprise to produce finished products worth 345 billion soums. This is important not only for the domestic market but also for export.

The enterprise’s products are in demand in Uzbekistan and are also exported to Tajikistan and Afghanistan. This production site in Termiz is becoming an industrial hub of regional significance.

Another important aspect of the enterprise is that the majority of raw materials are supplied from local sources. Ninety-five percent of basalt is extracted from mines in the Oltinsoy district of the region.

This reduces logistics costs and promotes efficient use of local resources. The installation of modern technological equipment from China at the enterprise is improving production quality.

The project has provided employment for 200 citizens. The creation of new jobs is important for any region.

While reviewing the production processes, the head of state emphasized the need to improve product quality and strengthen export-oriented directions. The issue of developing the construction materials sector on a scientific basis was also raised.

For this purpose, it is planned to establish a scientific research institute for construction materials in our country.
