Uzbekistan became the leader in grape exports to Russia
According to the 2025 report, Uzbekistan has become the largest partner in supplying fresh grapes and raisins to the Russian Federation. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to Rosselkhoznadzor data, a total of 198 thousand tons of these products were exported from Uzbekistan to Russia, which is an 11.4 percent increase compared to the previous year. Along with grapes, Uzbekistan also achieved significant success in the export of melons.

The export of products such as melons, watermelons, and papayas to Russia doubled, reaching 111 thousand tons. In this regard, Uzbekistan is ahead of Turkey and Azerbaijan.

Uzbekistan's share in the dried fruit market remains substantial. Last year, Russian consumers purchased 10.5 thousand tons of high-quality dried fruits from Uzbekistan, indicating a 28 percent increase in export volume.

Last year, Russia imported 6.1 million tons of fruits and nuts. The main directions are as follows: citrus fruits 1.8 million tons (main supplier — Turkey), bananas 1.4 million tons, berries over 528 thousand tons (Azerbaijan and China are leaders), nuts 90 thousand tons (Vietnam, Iran, and the Philippines are main partners).

Although imports of grapes and raisins from China have tripled, Uzbekistan has maintained its leadership. This proves that our local products are highly valued in the international market not only for their quantity but also for their quality and taste.

Products grown by Uzbek farmers are now featured on the tables of millions of foreign households. Such growth in export potential undoubtedly opens new opportunities for our country's economy.

To further enhance the competitiveness of Uzbek fruits in the global market, it is necessary to improve quality and focus on marketing.
