President approved the trade agreement between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan
The President of Uzbekistan has officially signed the decree approving the preferential trade agreement signed between our country and Afghanistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

This important legal decision was made after the initial signing of the agreement during the international investment forum held in Tashkent on June 10, 2025. The document was jointly finalized by Laziz Qudratov, Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Nuriddin Azizi, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

The main responsibility for implementing this international agreement was assigned to the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade and the Customs Committee. At the same time, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was tasked with informing Afghan officials that all necessary internal procedures for the agreement to come into force on the part of Uzbekistan have been completed.

This process serves to elevate cooperation between the two neighboring countries to a new level. This development coincides with a period of strong economic growth between the two states.

This year, bilateral trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan increased by more than forty-seven point five percent, reaching a total value of one billion seventy-eight million dollars. The official approval of the agreement opens a significant path for further strengthening economic ties and simplifying trade operations across the border.

In the future, this agreement will be an important factor in improving the welfare of our peoples and contributing to regional stability. The expansion of trade opportunities will create a foundation for implementing new investment projects for both parties.
