The Central Bank updated the foreign currency exchange rates

The Central Bank of Uzbekistan announced new values for foreign currencies effective from March 19, 2026. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the updated information, most major foreign currencies have appreciated against the som. The official exchange rate of the US dollar increased by 49.84 soms, reaching 12,178.85 soms.
The euro rate also rose significantly, appreciating by 84.2 soms to reach 14,053.18 soms. Updated rates for other foreign currencies are as follows: the Russian ruble is valued at 146.54 soms, decreasing by 1.45 soms compared to the previous rate.
The British pound sterling stands at 16,272.16 soms, appreciating by 96.91 soms. The Chinese yuan is valued at 1,772.01 soms, increasing by 10.84 soms.
According to the situation in commercial banks, the most favorable rates for buying and selling are formed based on the rates updated by the Central Bank. This helps ensure stability and accurate pricing in the currency market.
