The Central Bank Announced an Increase in the US Dollar Exchange Rate

The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan has announced new official exchange rates for foreign currencies against our national currency, effective from March 24, 2026. Zamin.uz reported on this matter.

Specifically, the US dollar exchange rate maintains its stable high position and continues an upward trend. One US dollar increased by 13.21 sum, reaching a total of 12,192.06 sum.
This situation indicates the stability of the dollar's position in the domestic market and high demand. Conversely, a significant decrease was recorded in the value of several other major foreign currencies.
For example, the euro exchange rate decreased by 56.7 sum, falling to a level of 13,996.48 sum. The Russian ruble also experienced a decline of 3.54 sum, with the new rate set at 143.00 sum.
The status of other currencies also has its own unique characteristics. The British pound sterling was equated to 16,197.15 sum.
The Swiss franc stands at 15,361.04 sum. The Chinese yuan remained equal to 1,766.84 sum.
A slight decrease was observed for the Japanese yen, which amounted to 76.60 sum. These new rates set by the Central Bank will serve as the basis for trade and currency operations in the coming days.
