More than half a million enterprises are operating in Uzbekistan
New data on the current state of Uzbekistan's economy and the distribution of enterprises has been announced. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

The National Statistics Committee presented its official report as of the first of March 2026. By this date, more than 576,800 enterprises and organizations are operating within the territory of our republic.

These figures demonstrate the stability and development of the country's business environment. According to the analysis results, the largest share of enterprises operates in the trade sector.

In this sector alone, 156,796 entities have been registered. In agriculture, forestry, and fisheries, one of the main branches of the economy, 127,071 enterprises are operating.

The number of registered entrepreneurial entities in the industrial sector has reached 61,062. Additionally, 31,372 enterprises operate in the construction sector, and 31,350 enterprises provide housing and food services.

Regionally, the most active area remains the city of Tashkent. In the capital, 111,137 enterprises are operating.

The Tashkent region and Samarkand region rank second and third in terms of the number of enterprises. These regions have 54,273 and 53,475 entrepreneurial entities respectively.

The lowest number of enterprises is observed in the Sirdaryo region, where 16,557 enterprises are registered. Economic activity is also high in other regions.

In the Fergana region, 49,278 enterprises are operating, and in Kashkadarya, 44,055 enterprises are active. Hundreds of entrepreneurial entities also operate in the Andijan, Bukhara, and Namangan regions.

In the Khorezm and Surkhandarya regions, the number of enterprises exceeds 32,000. The Republic of Karakalpakstan, Jizzakh, and Navoi regions have average indicators.

In summary, the highest share of enterprises in Uzbekistan corresponds to the trade, agriculture, and industrial sectors. In terms of regional distribution, the city of Tashkent leads.

This data clearly shows the stable development of various sectors of the country's economy and the expanding entrepreneurial environment.
