A historic achievement was recorded in the metallurgy industry in January.

Uzbekistan's metallurgical industry achieved unprecedented new milestones in January 2026. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to official data released by the National Statistics Committee, total production in the sector during this month amounted to 29.2 trillion soums. This figure is nearly double compared to the same period last year, clearly demonstrating the rapid pace of expansion and development in the industry.
As reported by Uzdaily, such results confirm stability and efficiency in metallurgy, one of the most important sectors of the country's economy. An analysis of industrial development over recent years shows that the growth trend continues uninterrupted and in a positive direction.
Looking at historical data, while production volume was only 4.8 billion soums in 2020, by 2025 this figure had reached 14.1 trillion soums. The impressive indicators recorded at the beginning of 2026 highlight that production activity across the entire country has accelerated significantly and entered a new stage.
These processes clearly demonstrate the effectiveness of state policy and investments. According to analysts and industry experts, the observed sharp growth signifies that the role and importance of the metallurgical sector within Uzbekistan's overall industrial structure are increasing.
As a result of the continuous expansion of production capacities, this sector is expected to play a decisive role in further stimulating the country's economic development and strengthening local production in the future. The achievements obtained are also creating opportunities to increase the efficiency of raw material reserves utilization and expand finished product exports.
