The dollar exchange rate in Uzbekistan has risen significantly within a week

According to official data released by the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan, changes occurred in the exchange rate of the national currency against foreign currencies during the third working week of April 2026. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Analysis shows that over the past five-day period, 1 US dollar increased by a total of 48.44 soums against the soum. When analyzing the weekly dynamics, it can be seen that the changes in the exchange rate were not uniform.
Specifically, on Monday, the dollar rate rose by 20.83 soums; on Tuesday, by 4.67 soums; and on Wednesday, by 32.74 soums. The growth trend continued on Thursday, amounting to 20.50 soums.
However, on Friday, the last working day of the week, the national currency strengthened slightly, and the rate decreased by 30.30 soums. The Central Bank forms exchange rates based on market principles as well as supply and demand.
This process serves to ensure economic stability and keep macroeconomic indicators in balance. Such short-term fluctuations in the currency market are directly linked to the global economic environment, international trade volume, and activity in domestic markets.
According to experts, these changes are considered natural processes in the economy and occur under the influence of external economic factors. For the population and entrepreneurs, such changes in the exchange rate are of great importance when making financial plans.
The Central Bank, in turn, continues to constantly monitor the situation in the currency market and take measures to ensure economic security. How exchange rates will form in the coming weeks will remain dependent on the situation in global markets and the economic indicators of our country.
