The dollar exchange rate fell against the sum at the end of the week

According to the analysis of currency rates published by the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan, during the latest working week of April 2026 the position of the national currency against the US dollar was accompanied by changes.

In particular, at the end of the week it is possible to observe that one US dollar fell against the sum by 33.04 sums. When analysing the daily changes during the week, it became known that significant fluctuations occurred in the currency rate. On Monday the dollar rate decreased by 39.69 sums, while on Tuesday this trend continued and it decreased by another 32.49 sums. However, in the middle of the week the situation changed: on Wednesday the rate rose by 15.28 sums, and on Thursday by 49.05 sums. On Friday the value of the dollar leaned again towards decline and ended the week with a drop of 25.19 sums.

The Central Bank forms currency rates on the basis of market principles and strives to ensure stability in economic processes. Such changes in the exchange rate are considered one of the key indicators of the global economic environment, the volume of foreign trade and the economic activity inside the country. This dynamic reflects the standing of the national currency on the international stage and the resilience of the domestic market.

In order to maintain stability in the currency market and contain inflation, the Central Bank carries out constant monitoring. Such analyses serve as an important basis for entrepreneurs and ordinary citizens to properly plan their finances.
