Dollar Exchange Rate Rises Again in Uzbekistan, Setting a New Record

The value of the national currency against foreign currencies continues to fluctuate in the financial market of Uzbekistan, Zamin.uz reports. In particular, a significant increase in the US dollar exchange rate is expected starting from April 8.
According to expert analysis, the dollar's value is projected to rise by an average of 34-35 soums. Against the backdrop of these changes, commercial banks are also offering their services at currency exchange offices based on updated rates.
Currently, several banks offering the most favorable conditions for buying and selling dollars for the public and entrepreneurs can be highlighted. Specifically, Infinbank and the National Bank of Uzbekistan offer the highest rates for citizens selling their foreign currency.
These financial institutions accept one US dollar at 12,130 soums. Additionally, this figure stands at 12,125 soums at Garantbank and 12,090 soums at Agrobank.
Market analysis is also crucial for customers wishing to purchase foreign currency. At present, the most favorable selling rates are provided by Asia Alliance Bank, Infinbank, and Octobank.
In these banks, it is possible to purchase one dollar for 12,180 soums. At Turonbank, the selling rate is slightly higher, set at 12,190 soums.
Such fluctuations in the currency market are linked to external economic factors and changes in domestic demand. Experts recommend double-checking rates via mobile applications or official bank websites before conducting currency transactions, as prices may change during the day.
The official rates set by the Central Bank serve as the primary benchmark for commercial banks.
