Central Bank Announces New Exchange Rates of Foreign Currencies Against the Som

The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan has announced new exchange rates of foreign currencies against the som, effective from April 27, 2026. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the updated data, changes have been observed in the value of major global currencies relative to the national currency. Specifically, a slight increase was recorded in the exchange rates of the US dollar and the Japanese yen, while all other major foreign currencies showed a downward trend.
The US dollar exchange rate began to move upward after several days of decline. The dollar rose by 4.52 som compared to the previous day's figure, settling at 12,020.48 som per dollar.
Meanwhile, the Euro continues to decrease, falling by 3.13 som to reach 14,048.33 som. The British pound sterling depreciated significantly more than other currencies; following a decrease of 15.54 som, its value dropped to 16,207.21 som.
The Russian ruble also lost value, decreasing by 1.53 som to be set at 158.77 som. Additionally, the Swiss franc fell by 29.26 som to 15,273.80 som, while the Chinese yuan remained almost unchanged, dropping by a mere 0.01 som to 1,758.33 som.
The Japanese yen recorded a minimal increase of 0.03 som, reaching 75.25 som. These updated rates set by the Central Bank serve as the primary benchmark for all accounting records, banking operations, and customs payments within the country.
