Cooperation Agreements Signed Between Regions of Uzbekistan and Russia

A delegation led by Dmitry Starostin, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, arrived in our country on a working visit. Following the negotiations, preliminary agreements were reached on the implementation of joint projects in key areas such as information technology, industrial cooperation, the agro-industrial complex, and the training of qualified personnel.
This dialogue serves as a vital foundation for elevating bilateral economic relations to a new level. During the visit, the Russian delegation met with officials from the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade.
Productive negotiations were also held with the leadership of the regional administrations (khokimiyats) of Kashkadarya, Syrdarya, and Tashkent regions. The parties discussed in detail the attraction of leading IT companies from the Nizhny Novgorod region to the Uzbek market and the implementation of modern educational projects in collaboration with the NEYMARK IT Campus.
Delegation members visited the chemical-industrial technopark in the city of Chirchiq, where they familiarized themselves with production processes and the conditions created for foreign entrepreneurs. Currently, more than twenty enterprises are successfully operating at this industrial site.
According to Dmitry Starostin, the opportunities of this technopark for Nizhny Novgorod industrial enterprises are extensive, and there is significant untapped potential in this regard. The negotiations also focused on increasing the volume of industrial and food product supplies, supporting promising agricultural projects, and establishing the exchange of experienced technical specialists.
Furthermore, the Russian representatives actively participated in the Innoprom Central Asia international industrial exhibition held in Tashkent, where they showcased products and innovative developments manufactured in their region.
