Uzbekistan has become one of the largest recipient countries, ranking second after Russia.
In April 2025, 1.96 billion tenge (50 billion soums) was sent from Uzbekistan to Kazakhstan. This is 21.5% more than the 1.62 billion tenge in March.
The share of remittances sent from Uzbekistan to Kazakhstan increased from 9.7% to 10.2%, placing the country in third place after Russia (25.7%) and the USA (15.4%).
This growth is attributed to the increased activity of migrants and improved access to payment services. The number of transactions from Uzbekistan also rose from 2,660 to 2,870.
